Svilaja is a mountain situated in the south Croatia. The highest peak named Bat is at elevation of 1.508m over the see level.  Bat peak is the nice sightseeing point with opened view to Kninska Dinara, Dinara – Troglav section and Kamešnica mountains and on mountains near Adriatic coast like Mosor, Biokovo and Promina. From Donje Ogorje village the ride is possible to the elevation of 1300m, just bellow the peak. From the end of carriageway it takes around 30 minutes to hike on the peak  Bat. During summer time is very hot  in this area so I recommend  to plan the ride during spring, fall or winter. All the trail is dry and rocky.

The starting point of the mountain bike route is church Sveti Vid near Zelovo village. From the church Sveti Vid proceed on the paved road to Zelovo village and on the first crossroad turn left on the new built paved road. After around 2km on the second labeled crossroad turn right on unpaved road to Svilaja and Orlove Stine Hut. After around 2.5 km on the right side of the road there is Orlove Stine Hut. The unpaved road continues with few ups and downs around 8km from the hut to the north west course. In the middle of the trail is the junction with the labeled path to the peak of Svilaja. The path is for hiking only. The unpaved road ends at elevation of around 1100m over the see level. I rode back to the second crossroad and turn right to Donje Ogorje village. It takes around 10km from the crossroad to the Donje Ogorje village. In the village near the school there is a crossroad. Turn right on the paved road in direction to Milešina village. Just before Milešina village turn right on the carriageway. The steep ascent follows to the Svilaja ridge. In the middle of the trail there is the crossroad. Keep right and the carriageway continues to the elevation at 1300m over the see level. At the end of carriageway there is a water tank. I left my bike here. From this point hike to the north course on a hard visible path to the Bat peak. The path isn’t labeled. It takes around 30 minutes to hike on the peak of Svilaja.
