The mountain bike route Cres – Merag is situated in the central region of The Island of Cres. The route starts in Cres town and leads to Merag port situated on the east coast of The Island of Cres. The ascent section is fast and easy. The ascent section is placed on the paved road. The descent is placed on the carriageway and unpaved road sections. The route can be combined with Merag – Cres and Vransko Jezero routes.

Description of MTB route:

The starting point of the route is in Cres town. From Cres town proceed to Merag port on the labeled highway Cres – Merag. At the next crossroad turn right. After about 1.50km at the crossroad turn left on the rocky carriageway. After the short ascent on the ridge the carriageway turns into the unpaved road. The long descent leads to Sv Ivan chapel and ends in Merag village. The unpaved road turns into the paved road. The short and steep ascent leads to the port. The best time for ride: winter, spring and autumn. During summer time is very hot. GPS unit with uploaded route is a must.
