Overview of mountain biking route:
MTB route Maglić is situated in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina in National Park Sutjeska. Maglić is the highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina at elevation of 2386m over the sea level. The first section of the route is placed on the paved road, than follows the unpaved road and a short carriageway section. Last 2.5 km from Prijevor saddle at elevation 1650m to Maglić peak is for hiking only. From Prijevor to Maglić peak the elevation gain is 700m. Very steep, rocky and exposed hiking path is labeled. Be warned, good hiking shoes are a must to hike on the peak. The next section leads to Trnovačko Jezero lake in Montenegro. The section near Trnovačko Jezero lake is placed on a very rocky trail. Most of the sections are labeled. The route can be combined with Mratinje – Tjentište (Maglić), Tjentište – Donje Bare and Tjentišta – Zelengora routes.
Getting there: Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, Foča, Tjentište or coming from Croatia follow the direction Dubrovnik, Trebinje, Bileća, Gacko, Tjentište.

Best time for ride: summer. Due to steep and exposed hiking trail to Maglić peak take some good hiking shoes and helmet too. In case of rainy days avoid wet rocky path on the trail to the peak. The entrance fee is charged in National Park Sutjeska. Take the passport. GPS unit with uploaded route is a must.
