Karavanke, the group of mountains are situated along the border line between Austria and Slovenia. The summit Trupejevo Poldne is a good sightseeing point from which you can get a nice view on Julian Alps and South Austria area. The mountain bike trail is the mixture of paved, unpaved roads and singletracks. From the saddle near Trupejevo Poldne follows the exciting singletrack to the valley. All the area is very attractive and there are many labeled trails. The highest elevation point of the route is around 1.800 m over the see level.

The starting point of the mountain bike route is Gozd Martuljek village. Follow the labeled bikers’ trail over Pišnica river to Kranjska Gora and than to Potkoren. In Potkoren proceed on the main highway for Austria. Just few hundred meters before the border there is a crossroad. Turn right on unpaved road across the forest. At the beginning the course is south-east and after few kilometers proceed to the east course. The ascent of unpaved road is smooth. After Jureževa Koča Hut on the left side of the trail there is the spring of water. Along Železnica canyon follows the final ascent to the saddle near Trupejevo Poldne peak. Few hundred meters before the saddle there is a steep ascent, so hike with the bike. At the saddle leave the bike and hike to Trupejevo Poldne peak. It takes around 10 -15 minutes to the peak. On Trupejevo Poldne there is a sightseeing point with the nice view on South Austria, Karavanke’s ridge and Julian Alps. From the saddle follows the exciting ride along the ridge through the north side of Murnovc peak. After the peak the trail continues to the south course along the canyon of Hladnik stream. The steep and rocky descent follows until the singletrack reaches the carriageway in the direction to the valley. This downhill section requires good downhill technique.
