Overview of mountain biking route:

Lisac is a mountain in the southern part of Croatia. To tell you the truth I have never heard for Lisac before I discovered it. We have many bike & hike guides in Croatia but none has mentioned Lisac. At the beginning of 2007 during cold winter days I was studied the maps and decided to explore this area. During my first hiking tour I discovered Lisac’s area. In September 2007 I come again but this time with my bike. The route can be combined with Krupa – Tremzina route. Lisac mountain belongs to the Croatian county named Lika with the lowest population density in Europe. The area is untouched and I hope it will last forever. The route can be combined with Zrmanja Vrelo – Poštak – Plavno route.

Getting there
: Europe, Croatia, Zagreb, Gračac than direction to Knin and the starting point is at the crossroad on the highway towards Srb.

Description of MTB route

The starting point of the mountain bike route is the crossroad on the highway to the Srb city. Turn left to Velika Popina than proceed to Donji Labusi village. In Labusi village there is a fountain. Take the water because there is no water on the rest of the trail. From Donji Labusi village an unpaved road follows to the Gornji Labusi village. Just before the entrance into the second part of the village there is a crossroad. Follow the west course to the steep carriageway. The west course leads to Lisac plateau. Due to some steep sections, few minutes for hiking is needed. Just before the plateau, the carriageway gradually turns into singletrack. All around is grass, grass and grass. You can ride wherever you want. Lisac mountain is visible on the right side. Follow just the west course and a carriageway will appear. Soon it will gradually turns into unpaved road in the direction to Vučipolje village. Near the village there is a crossroad with the highway Gračac-Knin. Follow south east course on an unpaved road through the forest. Pass the railway. Near Lisac summit there is a crossroad. Turn left to the carriageway in the direction to the Mala Popina village. The carriageway gradually turns into singletrack and than back into unpaved road. The view is opened to Poštak mountain. In Mala Popina village follow the paved road to the north direction and you will be back to starting point. For more details check above interactive map and below elevation profile & Gallery of the route.
