Overview of mountain biking route:

The mountain bike route Merag – Cres is situated in the central region of The Island of Cres. The route starts in Merag port and leads to Cres town situated on the west coast of The Island of Cres. The descent is placed on a very rocky singletrack. On some short sections hiking is needed. The ascent section is fast and easy. The ascent section is placed on the paved road. The route can be combined with Vransko Jezero and Cres – Merag routes.

Description of MTB route:

The starting point of the route is in Merag port. From the port proceed to Cres town on the highway. Keep strait for about 9.2km util you reach the junction. At the junction turn left and than after few meters turn right on the second junction. Proceed on the rocky singletrack. The first section is a very steep descent. In the second section the singletrack follows the towers of electric power lines. After about 2.9km far from the last junction turn sharp right and descend on the rocky singletrack to the junction with the paved road that leads to Cres town. The best time for ride: winter, spring and autumn. During summer time is very hot. GPS unit with uploaded route is a must.
