Overview of mountain biking route:

The mountain bike route Ston – Ponikve is situated at the Adriatic coast on Pelješac peninsula. Ponikve plateau is situated few kilometers on the west course from Ston. The route is fast and mostly placed on the rocky carriageway. The descent section from Ponikve to Ston is a very rocky singletrack. The route can be combined with Mali Ston – Pržina route.

Description of MTB route:

The starting point of the route is the tower in Ston. From the tower proceed to Hodilje direction. Near the ruins of the chapel turn left and proceed on the carriageway. After about 500 meters turn right and proceed to the north west course. The steep and rocky carriageway leads to Pelješac ridge. At the ridge keep left at next 2 junctions and then descend to the plateau named Ponikve. Cross the highway and proceed on the paved road along the vineyards. After about 100 meters the paved road turns into the unpaved road. The road leads to the highway and Metohija village. In the village just near the cemetery turn left and ascend to the saddle.
