The route Selca – Kaštil is situated in the south east area of The Island of Brač. The trail is a circular route with the start and end point in Selca. The first section is placed on the paved road and than follows the dry and rocky carriageway. The trail passes near the ruins of the castle named Kaštil. The downhill section leads to Puntinak situated at the Adriatic coast. Kaštil castle was used in the past to protect the people of this area from pirates. The route can be combined with Sumartin – Vidova Gora, Povlja and Sumartin routes.

The starting point of the mountain bike route is the square near the church in Selca. At the end of the square turn right and climb along the street to the north west course. The street ends with the crossroad and sightseeing point above Selca. At the crossroad keep left and proceed for about 250 meters than turn left on the narrow paved road. Proceed straight on the paved road with few ups and downs for about 3,5 km near the villages Nagorinac and Nakal. At the crossroad before Osridke village turn left on the carriageway that leads to the south course. The surroundings of next few junctions looks very similar so take care to choose the right direction. After about 250 meters at the next junction turn left on the carriageway and proceed. At the next junction keep straight to the east course (do not turn sharp left or turn right). Keep left on all next junctions until you reach the junction for the Kaštil castle. To visit the castle turn sharp right and proceed 150 meters where is the meadow and the ruins of Kaštil castle. You can open and close the gates for the cattle. To proceed the route ride back to the junction and turn right to the east course. On the next junction turn right on the wide carriageway and continue to Puntinak area in Sumartin bay. On the next 2 junctions keep right and proceed to the bay. Soon on the right side you can get a nice view to the Sumartin bay. Near the electric substation turn right and proceed on the paved road with the steep descent to the crossroad in Puntinak area. Turn left and continue along the south coast of the bay. At the end of the bay keep left and proceed for about 700 meters. At the crossroad turn left and the trail will come back to the starting point in Selca.
