Blaca is the canyon situated on the south side of The Island of Brač. In the canyon there is a well known Museum-monastery. The monastery was built in 16th century by Glagolite priests. The starting point of the mountain bike route is Bol city at the Adriatic coast. Most of the trail is placed on carriageway & unpaved road. Along the canyon and the part of the coast the ride is on the exciting single track. Count to hike with the bike around 1.5km along the coast between Blaca Bay and Farska Bay.  The trail is dry and rocky. During summer time is very hot. The highest elevation point of the trail is around 620m over the see level. The route can be combined with Bol – Vidova Gora, Milna – Vidova Gora and Supetar – Vidova Gora routes.

The starting point of the mountain bike route is at the coast in Bol. Follow the paved road along the coast to the west course. The route passes near the well known Zlatni Rat beach. Follow the trail along the coast through Murvica village. The paved road turns to unpaved road. From Murvica village the trail proceeds towards Farska bay. There is a crossroad before downhill section for Farska bay. Turn right on the trail to the ridge of The Island of Brač. The steep ascent leads to the ridge’s plateau of the Island of Brač. On the plateau follow the unpaved road to the north. On the next labeled crossroad turn left to Blaca canyon. After around 4.5 km there is a labeled resting place. The labeled singletrack leads to Blaca Heritage (Museum). The steep descent on the rocky singletrack leads to Blaca bay. The Museum is opened for visiting all days during week except Monday. From
the bay the singletrack proceeds towards the east course along the forest. In this section the ride is not possible at all. It could take around 20 minutes to carry and hike up the bike. Passing next 3 bays the trail is back to the unpaved road to Bol. For more details check above interactive Map and below Gallery of the route.
