Krupa - Tremzina route is situated on Southern Velebit mountain. Tremzina is the mountain of Southern Velebit. The spring of the river Krupa is situated near the center of the Krupa village where is the starting and end point of the route. The spring is about 300 meters from Krupa village. To find the spring follow the path from the bridge along the coast of Krupa river to the north course. Near Krupa river there are many ruins of the water mills.  The route proceeds from Krupa village to the ridge of Southern Velebit and than follows a loop around Tremzina summit. All the sections are dry and very rocky. The route can be combined with Lisac route.

The starting point of the mountain bike route is Krupa village. Proceed along the village on the paved road near the water filling station. About 150 meters from the station there is the crossroad. Turn right on unpaved road to the north course. The trail proceeds above the spring of river Krupa. The unpaved road turns soon in a rocky varrigeway with a steep ascent. After about 6,3 km there is the next junction. The junction is above Duboki Dol valley and in front of Tremzina mountain. Turn sharp left and proceed on the carriageway, first to the west and than to the north course. After about 1.6 km, on the next junction turn left and proceed to the north course. The trail passes along the saddle near the west side of Tremzina mountain. After about 2.4 km there is the next crossroad, turn right on the carriageway. This section is situated on the north side of Tremzina mountain. Proceed through the forest for about 1.1km. On the next junction turn right on the carrigeway and proceed to the east course. The trail course gradually turns to the south and south west course. The steep descent follows to Turovac valley. In the valley keep the course to the west riding on the carriageway hard visible in the long grass. There is a hiking section and it could take around 20-30 minutes to pass the saddle between Turovac valley and Duboki Dol valley. From the saddle

proceed to the south west course to find the beginning of the carriageway to the Duboki Dol valley. A steep descent with few turnings on very rocky dirt road follows to the valley. Proceed on the carriageway along the north side of the Duboki Dol valley. On the next junction turn left and proceed on the steep ascent. You will be back on the junction above Duboki Dol valley. Turn left and proceed back on the same trail to Krupa village. For more details check Interactive Map and Photo Gallery of the route.


Notes & references

The route is recommended during spring, summer and fall. During summer time can be very hot. UST tires are recommended.
