The mountain bike route Jadovno - Baške Oštarije is situated in Middle Velebit area. Mostly placed on the rocky carriageway the route is fast and easy. Jadovno village is situated on Lika's side of Velebit mountain and this is a good access point to Velebit mountain. Baške Oštarije village is situated at the saddle of Velebit mountain. There is Kubus sightseeing point with the opened view to the Adriatic Coast. The route can be combined with Jadovno - Štirovača, Šatorina, Jadovno - Smiljan and Baške Oštarije - Kuga Hut routes.
Getting there: Europe, Croatia, Gospić, from the highway Gospić - Karlobag turn right to Jadovno village. It takes around 20-25 minutes from Gospić by car.

| Jadovno valley |
The starting point of the route is Jadovno village. From the center of the village proceed straight on the paved road. After about 450 meters the paved road turns into the rocky carriageway and the long ascent section starts. Keep left at the next crossroad. Pass near the monument of WWII victims. At the next crossroads keep straight, keep right, keep left and turn sharp left to the south course. Ride straight to Sveti Josip hut. From the hut keep the west course, follow the short ascent than descend on the section with the opened view to Metla hill. At the next crossroads turn left and than keep right. From the last crossroad ride for about 1.10km. There is the labeled junction. Turn right on the short hiking section. It takes around 50meters to walk with the bike. The hiking trail turns into the rocky singltrack to the west course along the forest. After few hundred meters the singltrack turns into the carriageway than unpaved road and finally the paved road leads to the highway Gospić - Karlobag in Baške Oštarije village. Near the crossroad there is Vila Velebit hut and the spring of drinking water. From the crossroad near the church proceed to Karlobag on the highway passing near Hotel Velebno. Turn right before the tunnel and
proceed to the Kubus sightseeing point. From Kubus ride back to the last crossroad and turn left to Prpa hut. Near the hut turn right on the steep carriageway then turn left on the paved road to the north course. Keep left at the next crossroad and proceed on the rocky carriageway to the east course. At the crossroad near Stupačinovo village turn left and proceed to the north course. At the first turn there is a junction. Few meters from the junction on the cliff there is the spring of water named Kamenica. Keep the ride straight on the rocky carriageway and ride back to Sveti Josip hut. Pass near the hut and after 100 meters turn left on the carriageway to the west course. Keep straight at all crossroads and after about 5.90km there is the crossroad. Turn left and you are back on the trail coming from Jadovno. Ride back on the same trail. To change the section back to Jadovno I turned left at the crossroad and then after few hundred meters turn right to Jadovno valley. After a long carriageway section turn right above the valley and descend to the valley. Pass near the village and you are back at the main crossroad in the village.
