The monument of 2nd Dalmatian Division

According to the historian Vladimir Dedier and his book Battle of Sutjeska, the Partisans' battle group was consisted mostly of the solders coming from Croatian territory. The famous 2nd Dalmatian Division (in Croatian 2. dalmatinska brigada) took the most important role in the battle. Despite they lost more than 70% of the craw they succeeded to protect the brake of Tito's Division and their move to free territory.
